Rodrigo Benzaquen is R&D Director at MercadoLibre.

Rodrigo’s achievements include being one of the first MercadoLibre employees and he was responsible for the infrastructure including servers, network-security, and the SOC for the site. He was also the person behind the OpenStack implementation at MercadoLibre.

His specialities include technology and operations management, network and systems engineering, datacenter procurement and management, as well as disaster recovery and project management. He is an effective presenter and public speaker, and has developed presentations for conferences and meetings in the US and Latin America.

Rodrigo earned his BS in Computer Science at the Instituto de Tecnologia ORT in 1999. He completed the Executive Management Program at the Universidad de San Andrés in 2009.
